Required materials:

• Replacement radiator
• Jack and jack stands
• Pliers
• Protective gloves
• Ratchet and sockets of the suitable size
• Ratchet extension

• Screwdriver
• Wrenches of the suitable size
• Flare nut wrench of the suitable size
• Air compressor (optional)
• Cooling system vacuum fill tool (optional)

Procedure:

1) Elevate and support the vehicle: Safely raise the front end of the vehicle with a jack and support it with jack stands. Put a wheel clock behind the rear wheels and set the parking brake.

2) Remove coolant from the car radiator: Detach lower radiator hose or open the petcock valve to remove coolant from the radiator.

3) Detach radiator reservoir hose: Unbind the hose clamp with the help of a screwdriver or pliers, according to the clamp design. Remove the hose by turning and plucking it away from the radiator.

4) Disconnect upper radiator hose: Unbind the hose clamp with the help of a screwdriver or pliers, according to the clamp design. Remove the hose by turning and plucking it away from the connection.

5) Disconnect lower radiator hose: Unbind the hose clamp with the help of a screwdriver or pliers, according to the clamp design. Remove the hose by turning and plucking it away from the connection.

6) Detach cooling fan electrical connector: Detach cooling fan electrical connector by pressing on the tab and tugging it back.

7) Detach cooling fan mounting bolts: Detach cooling fan mounting bolts with the help of a ratchet, extension & socket of the suitable size.

8) Detach cooling fan: Detach cooling fan from the car.

9) Loosen transmission cooler lines: Loosen transmission cooler lines from the old radiator using a flare nut wrench to avoid rounding off the fittings.

10) Detach radiator mounting bolts: Detach radiator mounting bolts with the help of a ratchet/wrench and socket of the suitable size.

11) Detach condenser mounting bolts: Detach condenser mounting bolts with the help of a ratchet/wrench and socket of the suitable size.

12) Remove the old radiator: Remove the old radiator from the car.

13) Install the new radiator: Install the new radiator in its place.

14) Fit condenser mounting bolts: Fit condenser mounting bolts and fasten them.

15) Fit radiator mounting bolts: Fit radiator mounting bolts with the help of a ratchet/wrench and socket of the suitable size.

16) Attach transmission cooler lines: Attach transmission cooler lines to the radiator with the help of a flare nut wrench to avoid rounding off the fittings.

17) Install cooling fan: Install cooling fan back in its place.

18) Fit cooling fan mounting bolts: Fit cooling fan mounting bolts with the help of a ratchet, extension and socket of the suitable size.

19) Reattach electrical connector: Install cooling fan electrical connector back in its place.

20) Fit lower radiator hose: Fit lower radiator hose back onto the connection. With the help of a screwdriver or pliers (according to the clamp design), fit hose clamps into position and fasten them.

21) Fit upper radiator hose: Fit upper radiator hose back onto the connection. With the help of a screwdriver or pliers (according to the clamp design), fit hose clamps into position and fasten them.

22) Attach radiator reservoir hose: Fit upper radiator hose back onto the connection. With the help of a screwdriver or pliers (according to the clamp design), fit hose clamp into position and fasten it.

23) Fill new radiator with coolant: Close drain petcock as required. Fill the new radiator with coolant.

24) Drain air from the cooling system: Drain air from the cooling system with the help of a cooling system vacuum fill tool connected to shop air or by opening the bleeder valve if outfitted.

25) Lower down the car: Raise the vehicle and detach jack stands. Lower down the car and remove wheel clock. The car radiator replacement process is completed.
